If you’re in search for some GOOD soul food, this is you’re place to go! Look no more. I never had oxtails before and fell in love. So tender it falls right off the bone and seasoned to perfection! The price is high though unfortunately. I also got greens, Mac n cheese n black eyed peas and absolutely nothing was dissatisfying, it was ALL on point! Highly suggest this place!!!

The entire staff were so professional and the portion sizes were amazing. The ox tail plate… oh my goodness is all I can say. We will definitely return asap…

First time ever coming to this hidden jewel and let me tell you….. the food tastes just like the ancestors came down and made it. Everything seasoned to perfection and believe me I know because I can cook my butt off. The service and the food were great…don’t knock it!!! The portions are huge so this can serve as 2-3 servings!! The dressing and turkey wings are my fav but I can’t wait to try the oxtails! I pray nothing but growth and prosperity for anyone who works at and owns this business

This place brought back some great memories of living in the south. The staff is so sweet and polite. The food is heart and tummy warming. My favorite was the pork chop. Juicy and full of flavor. Don't skip the mac n cheese! You'll be so sorry. I'm definitely going to come back to try the chicken next time.

I love their food!! I love when the usual bright skinned young lady, the original server, makes plates! She makes them how they’re supposed to be made! With enough! The food is always tasty, delicious, and on point. My only complaint is, the last time that my husband and I went is, they had someone else making the plates, and the original lady was on the register, and we didn’t get nearly the amount that we’re supposed to. It was barely scoop fulls. I was disappointed and if she’s preparing again, I’ll have to pass. Otherwise, great spot for your monies worth!

There was too much garlic in gravy that was on my chops, or maybe on the chops.I don't know, It took all the flavor out of the food, like garlic was on everything , usually all good. Little bit much! But I love Lisa's

Good ol’ soul food spot. These are getting hard to come by! The staff was attentive to my needs and I was in and out with the goods! I love that! The baked chicken and roasted potatoes were 10/10! Flavorful and juicy and seasoned perfectly! The fried okra was some of the best I’ve had in a long time! I’ll be back for more! The green beans were okay, just regular. Same for the greens. I did not like the macaroni, didn’t give me the homemade vibe I was looking for. The chicken fried steak was tender and the brown gravy was good even though I’m usually a white gravy gal. The lemonade was decent. A bit too sweet and not enough tartness for my taste, but I’m not gone act like I didn’t drink it lol. I also got a slice of lemon cake which was also okay. Overall I’m glad I found the place and I’ll stop by the next time I’m on that side of town and pray they have those amazing potatoes and baked chicken!

One of the best soul food spots in Dallas. I’ve been going here for years. I usually always get the oxtails and over the years, the price has gone up which is to be expected but they’re well worth it. Their food has so much flavor and you can’t go wrong with whatever you get. The only thing that I can say is just ok is their cakes. Their banana pudding is delicious and so is their koolaid. Seriously, go here and you won’t be disappointed.
